Project 2 Complete!
From ideas to creation.  Graphite to ink.  Pain to happiness.  The unkown to the known.  A world was born.  An environment transformed.  A smile achieved.

Mario Land was my other gig this week.  Awoken at 6am Monday morning it was confirmed that a mural was to be created in Liam's room for his arrival Tuesday afternoon.  Never having done a mural before I was still confident in our abilities, being used to tight deadlines and crazy hours. Jen and I jumped to work after a day of overcoming hurdles around 10pm Monday night.  I sketched and Jen cut.  I powered through until 3:30am to get some base coats done on the contact paper.  Liam's family wanted the mural movable since he would be spending his time in multiple areas of the house.  We solved this by painting on contact paper and then applying a coat of varnish to seal the images.  Cutting them out then gave a clean edge to which we could then apply to the walls in multiple locations of the house.  Jen went ahead and went to work Tues. morning while I finished up sketches.  That afternoon we powered through.  Painting, tracing, and more painting along with a side of aching, lauging, and radio jamming!  Working on a concrete floor created interesting body positions that were held for hours.  Its like riding a horse, a fun-filled ride, that hurts to move afterwards, but will never stop you from doing it again!  We were joined by Cherie to help with the before mentioned tasks.  this was a huge help, since Jen's and my pace were becoming sluggish with alot still to be conquered.  Again I powered through until just after 4am.  I'm glad I did for Wednesday was a huge push to finish.  Thank goodness for the extension.  And of course, near the last we thought of an awesome idea that we had to throw in there creating more work, however, was an amazing addition.  This is when the four pipes on the closet door emerged.  Liam can now officially transport himself to wherever he needs to go at the flash of an eye, whether it be to his room, or his grandparents house.  Princess Peach was a must for Liam's younger sister who recognized her immediately.  I'm glad we were able to pull together to complete this mission.  It was a fun task that had even greater rewards.  I hope Liam finds himself transporting through pipes and squashing mushrooms!  Today we also thought of an idea to create another series of small mario characters to send to him each week so that he can add to his Mario land as well as outfits and flower power to add to Mario to keep the mural engaging.  This project, while tedious at times, has found me happy.  I'd like to continue doing such projects for others.  Whether at a hospital or for someone individually.  It is fun to change someone's world through paint and color.
