I reply: Absolutely, when are you coming!?
Kat: Be there in 2 hours, eating with fam, meeting you downtown for music, I have connections with the band.
Me: Game on.
Game on it was as we met up at the Eastburn bar. I am loving the NE area more and more as I hang out there. What can I say, those are my people. Hovering in the forefront of the bar a group of people get up from their table and leave. There just sitting on the table, perfectly, untouched, halves of burgers and sandwiches. Just sitting there! Untouched! Haven't people heard of doggy bags? So while it may be a sign of our cheapness/brokeness we contemplated going in for a swoop and grab. ...no shame! The food too taunting in its purity and goodness took the best of us and as we stepped to make our move we were beaten by a fellow nonwaster/hunger driven individual who not only went for the swoop and grab, but was prepared with personal tubperware! After sharing in a laugh we headed towards our table near the band. This bar had a 2 dollar special on any tap beer, to which they had a book full. No PBR tonight! Goin' with the good stuff, and oh did we. Hemp beer, was amazing. Having connections with the band was a lot of fun. Goldenbloom even had special dancers who dressed up in alien costumes to dance to some of their songs to which emily is sporting one of their hat designs below. The night was full of laughter as we closed down the bar and enjoyed the music and alien entertainment.
