Hopeful Intentions

I think this video is awesome!  Its collaborating beat boxing with the harmonica.  It isn't the most technical like most harmonica videos, but I still think it sounds cool.

I've always wanted to play the harmonica, but have never taken the time or spent the money to acquire one.  Today, I decided to do so.  I found a cheap-0 one in the toy aisle.  I figured it was perfect because like a normal reaction I had a feeling I would lose interest as soon as I realized how tricky they are to play.  It was attached to a learning book so that I can walk around showing off to "Jingle Bells".  That will come in handy for those, around the campfire moments, I'm sure.  Never Fear!  You Tube came to my aid. I didn't realize how much there is to learn with such a small instrument.  20 notes goes a lot farther than one would have guessed!  While its frustrating when it doesn't sound the way its supposed to and no one is there to show me what I'm doing wrong, I'm determined to keep going.  There's something about this small piece of metal and plastic that has me intrigued.  Now I just have to get my mouth, tongue, throat, air, and rhythm, to work with it instead of the train wreck its creating now.
